BETA is an aggressive Jantex kayak blade with a fantastic catch. In the second phase of the stroke it can feel slightly nervous, but it gives a good exit from the water.

It performs best at a steady rhythm – changing stroke rate is harder with it, so it is recommended for well-prepared athletes. It demands particularly good technique in surfski-type kayaks.

The two-piece shaft lets you set the feather angle you want and extend the paddle by up to 10 cm (up to 5 cm with the titanium lock). The paddle comes apart easily for travel, and a special ring lets you put it back together in under five seconds.

Blade sizes: 600, 620, 640, 660, 680, 700, 720, 730, 740, 760, 780, 790, 800, 810, 820 and 840 cm² (blade weight 190–270 g). Standard shaft diameter is 29 mm; five shaft stiffness options, from very flexible to extra stiff.
